How to Apply

Early September 2009
Prospectuses will be distributed and available in all secondary schools in the Borough of Rochdale and at the local Connexions Offices. Alternatively, you can contact the College and ask for one to be posted to you at home or download a copy from our website at www.rochdalesixthformcollege.co.uk. You should start reading the prospectus and think carefully about the subjects you might want to study at RSFC.

Late September/Early October 2009
The College Principal and his team will be visiting your schools to talk to you and your parents/carers about the application process, so please have your questions ready. If you are applying from a school outside the Borough, please email or call us with any queries/questions you may have. ** If you have decided that RSFC is the place for you, you can now begin completing the application form you will find with this prospectus and on the college website **

October 15th and 16th 2009
If you want more information about Rochdale Sixth Form College, you can attend the Rochdale MBC “Future First” Event, where we will have an information stand and where you can meet the Principal and his team.

November/December 2009
Have you completed your application form yet? Don’t worry – you still have some time left. You might need to get some more advice about your subject choices from your teachers, parents/carers or Connexions office. Alternatively, you can give us a call at college. Shortly after we have received your application, we will interview you for your place at RSFC but don’t worry – these are informal occasions held at your school, which will give you further advice and support on your choices.

January/February 2010
Interviews for your places at RSFC continue. Students who do not attend a school in the Borough will be invited to interview with a member of staff at the college.

February 23rd 2010
Closing date for applications to the college.

March 2010
You should have been interviewed by now and received confirmation of your place at RSFC. If you haven’t had an interview for the college, please contact us.

May 2010
Good luck with your GCSEs!

June 2010
We will be sending you some further information in the post about enrolment and what will be happening in your first few weeks of college.

August/September 2010
GCSE Results arrive. It is now time to enrol at Rochdale Sixth Form College!

For entry in September 2010, if you meet the entry requirements for our AS Programme, RSFC will guarantee you a place if you: Attend one of the Borough’s secondary schools or You live inside the Borough of Rochdale Students who fall into none of these categories are also welcome to apply.
