Why do Health and Social Care?

Are you looking for a career in health work or social care?
This course has been designed to give you a broad understanding of health, social care and early years working environments. You will develop realistic knowledge, understanding of a very diverse sector and learn the practical skills to help you succeed. The course is worth two A-Levels.

  • Food, Fitness and Wellbeing

There are also several work placements throughout the course so you won’t miss out on valuable work experience.

The extra stuff at RSFC

You will have lots of opportunities to take part in enrichment activities such as sign language, complementary therapies and first aid, which will also give you extra qualifications. In addition, you will also undertake work experience in a health or social care setting.

What can I do with Health and Social Care after college?

Students can progress to careers in the health service and social sectors. You could also continue to Higher Education to further your studies and gain employment in areas such as occupational therapy, speech pathology, youth work, podiatry and much more.

What do I need to do Health and Social Care?

You will need to meet the normal college entry criteria for AS/A2 courses.
