AS/A2 Philosophy and Religious Studies

Why do Philosophy and Religious Studies?

Do you ever think about life’s deeper issues? Is there a God? What happens when I die? If any of these questions interest you, and you like to discuss and debate ideas, this course is perfect for you. As well as looking at specific religions, this course focuses on ethics and the deeper philosophical issues surrounding these religions. This subject combines well with most other subjects and is an asset for many career and University choices.

Religious Studies is widely respected by universities as a traditional subject and is becoming increasingly popular with employers as religious issues are becoming much more topical. It is also a national curriculum subject taught from primary school upwards – so if you’re looking into a career as a teacher – this could be the ideal course.
