Why do Philosophy and Religious Studies?

As well as looking at specific religions, this course focuses on ethics and the deeper philosophical issues surrounding these religions. This subject combines well with most other subjects and is an asset for many career and University choices.
Religious Studies is widely respected by universities as a traditional subject and is becoming increasingly popular with employers as religious issues are becoming much more topical. It is also a national curriculum subject taught from primary school upwards – so if you’re looking into a career as a teacher – this could be the ideal course.

You will be working with state-of-the art technology for independent research and will benefit from a wide range of guest speakers, conferences and debates. In addition, our students will find enrichment activities such as the debating society, the philosophy club and the multi-faith society very rewarding.
What do I need to do Philosophy and Religious Studies?
You will need to meet the normal college entry criteria for AS/A2 courses.
