What will I study?

The course is delivered through a variety of technique and choreographic workshops, which offer students the chance to examine the creation, technique and artistry involved in choreographing and staging dance.

You will develop an awareness of how the body works through the study of anatomy and physiology and you will learn how to read and write dance in notation form. There are also theory lessons exploring the influence of leading practitioners and contemporary choreographers. The study is not of one particular modern style, but a study of historical, social and cultural influences on the art form of dance. In all lessons there is a strong emphasis on discussion and personal evaluation.
