Why do Art and Design?
Do you enjoy being inventive and making work that is personal and unique? Do you want to develop your imagination and creativity? Do you want to create something new? If you can answer yes to these questions, Art and Design is an ideal subject for you. At RSFC, we offer a broad-based AS and A Level Art and Design course that will give you the opportunity to experience a range of specialist areas before making informed choices about the areas in which you would like to specialise. You will be able to specialise in areas such as Fine Art, Graphics, 3D Design, Textiles or Photography. The emphasis throughout the course will be on developing your own ideas and creativity with constant reference to contemporary art practice and culture.
What will I study?
During the course you will learn how to interpret and convey ideas, and how to develop your imagination and creativity. More importantly, you will experiment with different art and design techniques and explore your own personal interests and methods of working. In your first year, we will introduce you to a variety of artistic and design techniques and, in your second year, you will develop a style that is individual to you. You will be assessed through a mixture of coursework and end of year exam projects.

You will benefit from outstanding art and design facilities and outstanding resources to help you succeed.
