Touch anything in life and you will be touching Chemistry. From medical discoveries to microscopic organisms, Chemistry is central to our understanding of the universe. The subject is essential if you want to pursue a career in medicine, pharmacy or forensic science.

Students studying Chemistry will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities including residential courses to assist career choices in medicine, forensics, chemistry and veterinary science and to represent the college in the Young Analyst of the Year competition.
What can I do with Chemistry after college?
A qualification in Chemistry allows access to other university courses in areas such as medicine, chemical engineering, forensics, pharmacy environmental, forensic, food and textiles sciences, pharmacy and biochemistry. Chemistry is the only science compulsory for the study of medicine.
What do I need to do Chemistry?
You will need to meet the normal college entry criteria for AS/ A2 courses. In addition, you will need a Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and Additional Science/Chemistry.
