If you have, you will find Biology really exciting! Biology is the study of life – it affects everyone and everything on the planet. It is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to explore the way living things work and live together on earth.
What will I study?
You will study a range of interesting topics, such as cell structure, the human body, biochemistry, biodiversity, health, disease, exercise and ecology. There will be lots of opportunities for laboratory practicals and fieldwork.
The extra stuff at RSFC
You will get lots of opportunities for field trips and day trips, including visits to museums and Chester Zoo. In addition, we will attend revision conferences, university workshops and hear from guest speakers about current biological issues. You will work in state-of-the-art labs at college and benefit from the most up-to-date technology and equipment.
What can I do with Biology after college?
Biology will allow you to go to university to study a wide range of subjects. If you wish to study medicine, dentistry, optometry, physiotherapy or other medicalrelated degrees, you will need a good grade in Biology.
What do I need to do Biology?
You will need to meet the normal college entry criteria for AS/ A2 courses. In addition, you will need a Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and Additional Science/Biology.
